Why QC photos are your last free checkpoint
Pikobuy photographs every item when it reaches the warehouse, and those QC photos are your last free chance to reject an item before paying international freight. The checklist below focuses on the details that most often separate keep vs reject in community QC threads — and which “flaws” are usually noise.
The three photos that predict a problem
Of everything in a QC set, three shots tell you almost all of the risk:
- The size tag — compare the tag font and stitching density against a retail reference; batch tags are the easiest tell.
- The full flat lay under warehouse light — warehouse lighting washes out color, so a navy that looks black may genuinely be too dark.
- The hardware/zipper close-up — misaligned or lightweight hardware is one of the most common reject reasons in community QC posts.
The three views sellers never photograph
The three photos sellers almost never include in the listing, but that Pikobuy QC will show you: the insole or interior label, the sole stitching or interior lining, and the back-of-item view. Many reject threads start the moment a buyer sees one of these angles for the first time in QC.
Pro tip: Compare your QC shot against other QC shots of the same item, not against the seller's marketing photo. Warehouse cameras and lighting are consistent — marketing photos are not.
What you can safely ignore in QC
Minor creasing from transit, loose threads that trim cleanly, and slight color shift versus a phone-screen listing photo do not matter. Warehouse cameras and lighting are consistent, so judge your item against a consistent baseline rather than the polished listing images.
